We are seeking an energetic Associate Project Scheduler to assist in project coordination and scheduling for our northeastern renewable energy projects. The position will be based out of our Ithaca, NY location, collaborating with our operations and engineering teams to deliver world-class renewable energy installations.

Job Duties

  • Providing project planning and scheduling documentation to support project and customer requirements.
  • Providing planning and scheduling support for in-house or on-site work as required.
  • Assisting Team Leads, Superintendents and the Project and Program Managers in tracking the projects against baseline schedules and budgets.
  • Preparing periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations as required.
  • Prior to the project start, creating and revising preliminary master schedules, detailing the sequence of all work to be performed.
  • Assist with preparing & submitting necessary building permits together with engineering teams
  • Assisting Project Manager in maintaining a Master schedule for each project, identifying and recording the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled.
  • Evaluating actual progress and providing regular schedule updates.
  • Contributing to the development of working schedules for Estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrates the sequence of work activities and contract time.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing proposal and preliminary schedule.
  • Consulting appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
  • Assisting Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitoring such schedules to determine the impact on master schedule, and helping in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
  • Providing information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of the project schedule.
  • Aiding Project Managers and others as required with the incorporation of fragments in Project Schedule.

Job Requirements

  • Administration experience working/coordinating with the building construction industry.
  • Able to apply advanced critical thinking skills in a stressful working environment where multi-tasking skills are essential, and top performance levels are absolutely required.
  • Experience tracking Construction Project Schedules, timely completion of project status
  • Excellent abilities and judgment in handling priorities, deadlines, information requests, materials for review, and pending decisions.
  • Self-starting problem-solver (and problem-spotter) who takes initiative, seeks direction when needed but does not wait for the next instruction to complete a project.
  • The solid implementer of consistent systems for keeping track of large information flow.

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years prior work experience in scheduling or administrative capacity.
  • At least one year of experience in permitting.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as Sales Force and Constant Contact, along with facility at mastering new information technology systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, team player, calm under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
