Fort Hood is recognized throughout the world as one of the largest military bases, home to some of our nation’s finest officers and personnel. IGS won a competitive bidding process to install a series of solar thermal systems for the military base, including 60 flat panels mounted on the roof of the facility’s 325,000 gallon swimming pool. The installation is intended to offset Fort Hood’s natural gas consumption with clean energy throughout its dining halls and swimming pool.
